Wineport Lodge is a 4 Star boutique hotel retreat on the banks of Lough Ree just 3 kilometres north of Athlone town centre. The setting is enormously peaceful and the hotel is a place of utter calm and relaxation. It also has a fine restaurant with a great selection of wines, and superb spa facilities.

They have 29 luxury rooms and suites, doubles (king size beds) and twins, all of which are beautifully designed, spacious and well appointed. They also have balconies with beautiful, uninterrupted views across the lake. The suites are extra spacious and come with walk-in wardrobes and semi-separate lounge areas.

FACILITIES:
Wineport is a relatively small boutique hotel with a major focus on relaxing and recuperating. There is very nice spa and wellness centre here with a full range of luxurious treatments, Voya seaweed products, and an outdoor hot tub. Guests can also enjoy a swim in the lake, a boat trip or a walk or cycle (there are bikes at the hotel) around the many trails that surround the hotel.
The restaurant at Wineport is cosy and intimate and has nice views over the lake. They have a range of fresh, modern Irish and European food and an extensive wine list.
The Bollinger Bar is equally cosy and intimate, and has all the usual drink choices, but with a much better than your average wine list and special craft beer and spirits menus.
THE LOCATION:
Wineport sits by the peaceful banks of Lough Ree, around three kilometres north east of Athlone Town, with Wineport Marina being just a couple of minutes’s walk along the shore.
